Infonavit will launch a loan for intermittent workers in 2021

Infonavit recently announced the launch of new types of credits for workers in 2021, among which stand out a financing scheme for temporary or intermittent employees, aimed, for example, at workers in the agricultural sector and the police, this with the purpose of extend the social safety net throughout the national territory.

The credit directed for temporary or intermittent workers will seek to adapt to the reality that this sector experiences, because due to the irregularity, the rules of the Institution, among others, did not allow them to be granted a loan.

The idea is that financing can be given to these workers who already have savings in their housing subaccount because they contribute to Infonavit; but they do it for 8 months a year at the time of sowing and harvesting and the rest of the months.

Another piece of news in addition to this new scheme is that the right holders will be able to have a new loan in pesos, with a low interest rate and more flexible conditions, which facilitate the development of housing for families in Mexico.

On the other hand, more and better information will be provided to the beneficiaries of the institute so that they can choose the house that best suits them, in terms of location, materials suitable for the region's climate, as well as services and public spaces for families.

This will be possible Due to the reforms to the Infonavit Law, approved by the Chamber of Senators on December 9, which contemplate benefits for the right holders, such as using the mortgage loan for the purchase of land, they eliminate the credit limit that a worker can request during their working life, and allows workers who no longer contribute to make use of their savings.
